Inspired by their farm in Antipolo, veteran actress Maritoni Fernandez tried her hand at planting her own produce.
She shared on her Instagram account that she started with a few avocados.
"My Mom's avocado tree in our farm in Antipolo had the best fruit and when we sold it, I was blessed to get a last taste of the few last pieces from the tree. I decided to try to plant them and this is the progression," she recounted.
She shared a series of photos showing the avocado plants at different states--from seeds to them slowly growing in a pot.
"It's been 8 months now but look how much they've grown! Last pic was the first seed I planted. Now I have 8 all growing at once," she wrote.
Maritoni also shared that she plans to replant them at her beach house.
"Can't wait to replant them at the beach and have avocados like the ones we grew up eating in Antipolo someday again. Whoever thought I had a green thumb!" she ends.
Last year, Maritoni revealed that she is building her dream beach house at an undisclosed location.
Aside from backyard farming, Maritoni has kept herself busy by trying out her mother's recipes.
She has also kept herself fit with yoga and has even gotten back to playing golf.
